In theory, there is no limit to the number of sensors that can be daisy-chained to a Flood Detective water alarm unit. However, 5 water alert sensors per alarm seems optimal in determining which sensor activated due to a water leak. Each water alert sensor detects as little as 1/32" (0.8 millimeters) of water, sounding the alarm at the earliest sign of a leak. Each water leak sensor also has an adhesive backing for firm attachment and optimum orientation to detect water. Use a single Flood Detective water alarm unit inside the kitchen sink cabinet to monitor sensors placed under the sink trap, garbage disposal, water filter and dishwasher. Daisy-chaining also extends the reach of the sensors, as each additional sensor adds another 8 feet (2.44 meters) of potential coverage.
