Leak Detection and Protection
Water damage is the second-leading cause of home insurance claims nationwide, and 80 percent of all home water claims are caused by plumbing and major appliances. A surprisingly large amount of water can escape from the smallest of cracks--a 1/8-inch crack in a pipe can release up to 250 gallons of water a day. Insurance companies recommend the installation of water-detection systems like the RWD41 as the best protection against the potentially expensive and stressful damage caused by leaks.
About Honeywell
Honeywell is a Fortune 100 company that can trace its roots back to 1885, when inventor Albert Butz patented the furnace regulator and alarm. Today, Honeywell continues to innovate and manufacture technologies that address challenges linked to global macrotrends such as safety, security, and energy.
